Buyer beware! I sent the following directly to Frederic St James customer service via their website and also separately via the customer service email at the bottom of my order confirmation 10 days ago, within hours of the bag having been delivered. It says the return window is 14 days after delivery, but that returns must be approved first, so it really seems like this company is just a scam where they charge for luxury goods, send out absolute junk, and then ghost their customers until after the return window closes.
I purchased the bag in cognac brown. That was the only shade of brown offered. Cognac brown is not a proprietary color, but a color well known in the design world. It is a caramel brown, not the reddish brown I received, which was basically maroon. That is an entirely different color, even allowing for color variance of different dye runs of leather and various screen settings for viewing the listing. It is simply the wrong color.
The listing clearly shows a plaid lining, however I received a bag that has a nondescript lining with your company logo. One of the features that sold me on this bag was the plaid lining in the picture. I bought it as a gift, for a receipient who adores plaid. I did not purchase a bag with the company logo all over the lining, which looks tacky and cheap.
The listing clearly states that there is a push lock mechanism with a key. Though the bag I received does have the push button to open, there was no key anywhere in the box.
The listing also clearly states that the bag comes in a cotton dust cover. There is no dust cover anywhere in the box.
I feel like I was sold one bag and received an entirely different bag—one that is completely aesthetically different and far inferior to what was advertised. This is an awful first experience of shopping with Frederic St. James and buying a Time Resistance piece.
